About Us

Bansha is a small, rural parish located in County Tipperary, Ireland, nestled at the foot of the scenic Galtee Mountains. It is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly.

The village of Bansha, which serves as the heart of the parish, is steeped in history, with its roots stretching back to ancient times. Its Irish name, “An Bháinseach,” is derived from the word bán, meaning white or clear, likely in reference to the natural landscape of the area.
